I’m just gonna share a couple of things I’ve loved in the last week. I’ve had a rough one, I’ll be honest. I’ve had the thought of flying home, booking myself a beach house for two weeks then flying back. I’m not going to do this. But if I did, you’d never know.
I called home three times this week. My dad told me again, to stop being so hard on myself. It’s not just luck that I’m here, I worked really hard for it.
This was a really lovely message to wake up to the other day.
Maybe I should actually call this screenshot as a service…?

I saw Yves Tumor live last week, the performance was amazing, but it was also the best dressed crowd I’ve ever seen. I don’t wanna say glam rock trend alert, but also let me know if this hits titkok (typo but LOL keeping it) and I’ll claim it. A question I asked a friend last month…
(Fuck Terminal 5 as a venue though)

A lot of commuting time, walking time, running time here has lead me to listen to more podcasts than ever before. Currently I’m loving the Deep Read with Phoebe Lovatt podcast. This episode linked below I listened to off a recommendation, because sometimes I skip listening to episodes if I don’t really know the person being interviewed. Louise makes a great point about ‘one narrative culture’ and how if you’re not following the herd mentality (titkok) in making content, then you’ll be left behind. With the answer to this being make more things, and make less content.
She also raised a lot of great points about being someone who moves often, also relevant to me living in country no.5 by the age of 30. There are a few things that I think differently about due to the way I’ve moved around, that sometimes can be hard to relate to people on.
Another great episode is the interview with Isabella Burley, from Climax Books. It inspired me to share brain deep cuts. As I only own two suitcases worth of ‘stuff’ here, I can’t really get into nostalgia in that way, but lucky I’m a bookmark/screenshot freak.

I don’t know how to describe this other than zoomy pop, dance pop isn’t quite right, its like charli xcx zoom zoom but from 2005. If anyone knows what I’m talking about here feel free to enlighten me, or share more tracks.
Kylie Minogue - Giving You Up
Anyway this song reminded me of the (also 2005) Rogue Traders album, Here Come The Drums. Now, I have this on CD so I have listened to more than just Voodoo Child, and I can assure you it’s a great pop album. The opening track has always been a favourite of mine.
Rogue Traders - Believer
Outside of this, I’m loving Jorja Smith’s new album. A lot of it resonates, too scared to share lyrics cos I don’t know who reads this.
But something a friend has always said to me, that I can say I’m an open book over and over but in reality - I don’t really let anyone in.
At the end of the day, it’s Kylie’s world, we’re all just living in it.
